Today Sean had his first poop in the potty!
We have had the potty for more than a year and had a half-hearted attempt to introduce him to it many months ago. He wasn't interested in it, so we didn't push him. I have been wondering how was I suppose to get him potty trained. My MIL said that it's a bit too late now and we may have to wait much later because he is used to wearing disposable diapers all the time. The maid said the kid behind the house is still wearing diapers at 5 years old!!!!
Anyway.... I was feeding him his dinner, when he refused to eat anymore. Then he said "Poo" and made his "pooping" face. So I asked, "You poo poo?". He said "Poo".. Okay then, lets go clean up. But the diaper was clean, so I thought, why not let's try to get him sit on the potty. The last time we tried was several months ago, and he kept standing up, and wanted to play with the potty.
But this time, he actually, pooped! He sat in the potty and played with water in a scoop. After a while, I got him to stand up and was amazed to actually see a big poop in there!
ha ha ha... I guess you have to be a parent to find pooping in a potty such an exciting event! =P
So everyone congratulated him for pooping in a potty. That was fun...=D
Of course, this is probably a coincidence. I'm not sure when is it going to be repeated the next time. =P
Other snippets:
Sean says 'knock knock" when he knocks on the door.
And he has replaced "chou" for "Oooo" which is short for Open.
He also regularly plays in Akong and Ama's room at night to jump on their bed and run around the room. They have a big room and their mattress on a big landing, which makes it a lot more fun and safe to jump around.
