You might ask " What's a-je-ba ?"..... That's what I want to know too!
Sean has been saying it for months and I still don't know what it means.
Oh sometimes he varies it and says a-je-bu...... but that doesn't mean I know any better.
It's not a word that he says to us, more like something he says when he's doing his own thing and jabbers away.
I thought all moms would know their baby's baby words, but it's still a mystery to me.
We can understand him quite well, through his actions and facial expressions.
His current favourite expression is emphatic shaking of his head to indicate no. Let's just say there's been a lot of head shaking recently. Sometimes he shakes his head and push his hands out anyway, whether or not he wants something.. and then realises that he actually wants it.
We think that he needs to say yes too, so we go about trying to get him to say yes. So every time we say yes, we nod our head. Sam has also started teaching Sean to play Sat-Sat-Sat. (unfortunately, I'm rather clueless to these type of games =P)
Sat-Sat-Sat (hands move up and down together 3x)
Pom-Pom-Pom (double high fives 3x)
Yes sir, (nod-nod)
No sir (shake head)
123
So whenever we remember, we play sat-sat-sat with him. He's starting to get the hang of it too, although not the whole thing yet. At least he'll put his hand out to be shaken and sort of lift his hands up for the high fives. And after that shakes his head all the way he he he...
Now when we give him something to eat and he likes it, he will eat and nod his head (sagely).. he he he... it's really cute
